Customer: Fenner Dunlop
Design, fabrication and installation of 2 Rotocure Roll Aligners. The large rubber conveyor belt roll was being manually lined up with the Rotocure using the overhead crane and Portapower hydraulic jacks. Fenner Dunlop asked Uptime to design and install a system to move the whole Rubber roll and supporting frame left or right at the press of a button so it can be easily lined up with the Rotocure and the roll fed through accurately.
The design involved placing the frame on 4 sliding blocks positioned in a concrete trench (additional height could not be added to the frame) and driving the unit with an electric actuator and controller. All work was undertaken during the shutdown period to minimise disruption to production.
